Shantety.com is an online auction platform and a marketplace for businesses or private costumers to sell their new or used stuff within or outside of the UAE. There are some conditions that every user must follow. If you are not able to follow them, you cannot use it in any way.Shantety.com connects users who wish to sell, buy, rent physical goods (example real estate, cars and furniture) Shantety.com users pay for and access these goods offline. Shantety.com payment gateway can be used for payment fulfillment in some categories.
These Terms & Conditions are to provide you with information about the terms upon which we agree to provide. Please keep a printed copy of our Terms & Conditions and refer to it as you access our services.
2. MODIFICATION:
Our T&C and Privacy Policy are up to date according to the UAE law.We will update our website terms and conditions as necessary.If any future modifications are unacceptable to you, you should stop using the system and services immediately. 4. CONDITIONS OF USE FOR BOTH SELLER AND BUYER:
4.1 Account information:
We have the right to control all the related accounts information to set the limitation and rules according to the sellers and their services provider’s policies.
4.2 Your information must be authentic:
Your account must be authentic and based on the true statements. Your all general and personal information must be according to the real documents that you will be asked to provide.THIS INCLUDES:

- Email,

- Further information / documents if needed
4.2.2 Personal information:
- Bank account details,
- Address, telephone and mobile number
- Residential card / identification card/ passport number and/or copy

4.3 Do not share your account:
One account is only for the single user so do not share or use your account with another person. You will be responsible if, someone will try to access your account using your password, mail information and any other misuse from your side using your credentials.
4.4 Must follow privacy policy:

5. CHOICES FOR SELLING AN ITEM:
5.1 To offer “Bids” for the item – an auction-type listing. Bids:
- In an online auction, the seller specifies the starting price and duration. The seller can define a minimum acceptable price which is only visible for the seller, under which the item cannot be sold.
- Buyers search for the desired item. If the item is on auction the buyer can place bids on the item.
- When the specified duration ends, the buyer with the highest bid wins.
- Seller delivers the item based on the highest bid.
- The deal and the business connection sold an item is directly between the sellerand buyer. Shantety.com just provides the platform for buyer and seller cometogether. Shantety.com can manage the payment through the paymentgateway if available.
- The seller is obliged to make the item available for the buyer and to ship it to the buyer if shipping is agreed upon
- The buyer is obliged to pay the amount as indicated when buying the item and the fees and collecting the item as soon as possible if shipping is not agreed upon
5.2 Buy It Now option, which allows buyers to purchase the item straight away at a fixed price.
- In a “Buy It Now” option, the first buyer willing to pay the seller’s price gets theitem.
- The seller is obliged to make the item available for the buyer and to ship it to the buyer if shipping is agreed upon
- The buyer is obliged to pay the amount as indicated when buying the item and the fees and collecting the item as soon as possible if shipping is not agreed upon
6. SELLERS OR SUPPLIERS FEES AND PROMOTIONAL PACKAGE:
6.1 Fees package:
- We are providing our sellers best deals and fees packages to line up products items. We will upgrade our fees structure time by time with the demand of the products and tax deduction rules changing without any notice.
- Here are some packages that a seller can choose one of them according to their need:
- Property for rent (by broker)
- Property for rent (by owner)
- Property for sale
- Business store
- Automobiles
7.CONDITIONS FOR THE SELLER:
7.1 You may only advertise properties that are currently available for sale or rent. It is at our discretion to remove any listings (fees will not be refunded)
7.2 You agree that the advertisement does not contain any unlawful language or use of the following:
- Misleading, defamatory or deceptive statements
- Sharing of a property that exceeds lawful occupancy
- Sharing of property that is deemed unlawful in any way
- Any language that promotes illegal or immoral activities under the UAE laws
7.3 Shantety does not verify the property listing details provided to us by third-parties and makes no warranties as to their accuracy.
7.4 You must not rely on the details of the advertisements and are required to perform your own due diligence. The seller is solely obliged to provide correct information about the good/item, its origin, current condition and location and all further information which is related to the article which could be of potential interest to the buyer
7.5 The seller must state the approximate shipment costs based on the average shipment cost for this distance.
7.6 Business sellers are required to dispatch an invoice containing their logo/business details and stating that the transaction was done using Shantety.
7.7 The seller cannot make sale contracts or personal deal with the buyers listed on Shantety outside the website without using the transaction channels provided by our website.
7.8 A penalty of two times the price of item will be charged to the seller if the condition in 7.7 has been breached
7.9 Sellers must not sell any restricted products or prohibited Products according to the law of the United Arab Emirates and the country the transaction partner is residing within. Examples of such products:
- Stolen products
- Drugs and alcohol
- Medications
- Animals and pets
- Human body parts donation offers
- Sexually oriented adult material,
- Weapons
- Fake products and counterfeit products
- Political material
- Material criticizing religions
- Material criticizing political symbols
- Material insulting political symbols
- Human trafficking
- This list is not exhaustive and only includes some of the most common prohibited products
8.CONTENT DISCLAIMER
